Attempting to motivate myself…

My stepsister recently had a baby. Well before the baby was born, I started on a baby blanket that I intended to finish before the due date. Of course, as is the story with so many projects, I got about 30% into the blanketĀ and had to sit it aside for a while. Her son, Asher, was born in June. It is now the end of August and I haven’t finished the blanket.

I have quite a bit of guilt about this, so I’m picking up the project again with the intent of finishing it by the end of September. The pattern I’m using is the Chevron Baby Blanket from Ravelry. I love the way it looks so far, and I almost never use bright colors, so I’m actually pretty excited to be working on it again, for now. Can I finish it by the end of September?

My first post (yay!)

Even though I made this blog a while ago, I’m just now getting around to making my first post, heh. My new job has been taking up a lot of my time and I haven’t had much time for knitting lately, but I do have a few projects that I’m working on.

Slouchy Bubbles

The Slouchy Bubbles pattern can be downloaded for free on Ravelry. I’m really enjoying this pattern. As someone who hasn’t worked with cables very much (read: at all) in the past, this is a pretty easy introductory.
